I make no secrets about Westman Atelier being my favorite beauty brand. The products fit my lifestyle, and my preferred way to wear makeup, perfectly. New products still excite me! Enter their brand new Sun Tone Bronzing Drops, described as, “just-back-from-the-beach hint of tint.” I grabbed the two deepest shades, Soleil Parfait 3 and Soleil Parfait 4. Both are housed in new summer ready packaging!
This is not Westman Atelier’s first bronzing product, but it is their first liquid matte option. In fact, they call it a hydrated matte, which I love. It’s aptly named, because the skin looks hydrated/glowy where it is applied. According to the brand, the bronzing drops are, “streak free, with no shimmer.”
Soleil Parfait 3 Deep Tan

Soleil Parfait 3 is described as a “deep tan” shade. Surprisingly, it swatched much deeper than I anticipated. However, the matte formula sheers out once on my face. Shade 3 is perfect for me, as someone who doesn’t like too much bronzer. It is a sophisticated, easy, wash of color. I used my fingers for to apply the drops, which is my preferred application. Soleil Parfait 3 will wear comfortably on skin tones lighter than me, up to my shade.
Soleil Parfait 4 Rich Deep Tan

Left Side Shade 4 — Right Side Shade 3
Soleil Parfait 4 is described as a, “rich deep tan.” As the deepest of the four shades, I fear it will not be deep enough to reach truly deep skin tones. It’s a beautiful shade on me, and will be perfect in the summer, or mixed with Soleil Parfait 4. I can also use less of this one. **Both bronzer shades work beautifully as quick eyeshadows!
For women with deeper complexions, it will come down to how much the bronzer is blended out. Once blended, these are not bronzers with heavy washes of color, and they’re not meant to be.
Westman Atelier Comparison Products
As I mentioned earlier, the Sun Tone Bronzing Drops are not the brand’s first bronzers. If you’re like me, you want to know the differences between the bronzers, and bronzer adjacent, products in the brand’s collection.

- New Sun Tone Bronzing Drops – Hydrated Matte, liquid, warm undertone, this sheers out a bit, but is buildable.. It’s hard to mess the application up. It has a lighter wash of color than the powder bronzer, and contour stick. I prefer using my fingers to apply.
- Beauty Butter Powder Bronzers – Matte, soft powder, warm undertone, very pigmented and a little goes a long way. This has a heavier wash of color than the bronzing drops and liquid highlighter. I apply with a brush.
- Liquid Super Loaded Peau de Soleil – Liquid Highlighter, glowy finish, warm undertone. This has a more sheer finish, and gives the most gorgeous glow. I apply with my fingers.
- Face Trace Contour Stick – Matte, cream contour, neutral undertones. This too is very pigmented, and a little goes a long way with this one too. I prefer to use this with a brush.
- Super Loaded Tinted Highlight Peau De Soleil – Creamy Powder Highlighter, that I think is a bit of a sleeper bronzing product. While it does lean more gold, and has a shimmer, depending on your complexion, it could be worn beautifully as a highlighter.
Summer Ready Packaging

Westman Atelier has smartly taken packaging they’ve used before, with their Complexion Drops and Liquid Super Loaded Drops, and given them a whimsical, twist. The bottles will certainly stand out in any collection!

These bronzing drops are really, really, lovely. The finish is beautiful, and the application is incredibly easy and quick. Twenty seconds will be more than enough time to apply a few drops onto your skin. The products live up to the brand’s description, and to my expectations.
My sole issue is that the shade range does not go deep enough. I’m a believer that the shade offering a brand has in their complexion products should be evident in their other, complimentary, products as well. The bronzing drops won’t work on the brand’s deepest foundation sticks or complexion drops. I truly hope the shade range is extended in the not so distant future.
