Lancôme recently released their new Teint Idole Ultra Wear C.E. Skin Transforming Bronzers, Highlighter and a new Hypnôse Eyeshadow Palette in Ardent Drama. This was my first real dive into Lancôme makeup, and I have some thoughts!
Teint Idole Ultra Wear C.E. Skin Transforming Bronzer
There are 7 new Teint Idole C.E. Skin Transforming Bronzers, and I grabbed 05 Tan. There are two after the shade I bought. I could get away with 04, easily, especially because I like lighter washes of bronzer. This one leans quite orange, but it’s much more nuanced than other orange leaning bronzers I’ve tried. I find it is a really beautiful brown/orange mix that never feels overwhelming.
It is quite pigmented, and blends like a dream. It is Lancôme, so there is a light floral scent. I find it lovely, but anyone with sensitivities should be warned. It is easily buildable, and gets me in and out, which is a requirement for my makeup. I’m enjoying this one a lot!
Teint Idole Ultra Wear C.E. Skin Transforming Highlighter
The Teint Idole C.E. Skin Transforming Highlighter 02 Medium Glow is a beautiful champagne gold on me. A little bit goes a long way!! I prefer a bit more subtlety with my highlighters, and because of that, I prefer to use an airy brush to apply this one. The lightest tap in the pan picks up a nice bit of product.
Like the bronzer, it builds up quickly, and easily. It is finely milled so there are no flecks of sparkle to deal with. As highlighters go, it’s lovely, but the shade is not particularly unique.
Hypnôse Eyeshadow Palette Ardent Drama
The Hypnôse Eyeshadow Palette Ardent Drama 19 is my first eyeshadow palette from the brand. I can confidently say, it won’t be my last! In the pan, the shades look very fall, but when swatched they came alive, and quickly revealed this is a palette you can wear all year round. It’s all matte, and all the shades are nicely pigmented. You can pull together a look with two, three or four shades. You’ve got options! I really love the two bright offers, because they can really make your eyes pop. There is another PERFECT nude shade for my skin tone.
The shadows are very soft and blendable. It is imperative for me that eye makeup be gentle. I can’t have tugging and stressing. I’m almost 47, and time and life are doing their own thing to my skin, so I need to be particularly kind to my eyes. This Ardent Drama palette did just that. I can’t wait to try another color story I had my eye on, pun intended!
