Westman Atlelier just released their Vital Skincare Concealers, and I grabbed T1 and T2. I’ve been waiting years for this release, and spoiler alert, it was worth the wait. My thoughts. swatches and lots of photos, below!
Why I Love Concealers

At almost 47, concealer is the single most important makeup product for me. At their best, they will instantly wake/lift my face up, they hide any darkness, and can even smooth out the under eye area. I see the same effect in other women too. I use them to conceal and brighten. Brightening is where I really see the magic happen.
So, when it was announced Westman Atelier was going to release long awaited Vital Skincare Concealers, I couldn’t contain my excitement. Westman Atelier is my favorite makeup brand, and has been for years. Not only are they clean, but Gucci Westman’s philosophy of makeup just enhancing what’s already there, is my makeup philosophy too. So, there was no way my favorite brand, and my most important makeup product, could be anything but a match made in heaven!
Vital Skincare Concealers
There are 16, medium to full coverage concealers, in this initial launch. They have been broken down into 4 categories, light, medium, tan and deep. There are 4 shades in each of the categories. Different skin tones are well represented with this release. I find the models to be really helpful, but you can also use the brand’s shade finder, on their site.
I always look to a brand’s claims to see what I should be looking out for. The Vital Skincare Concealers are said to be, “nourishing, creaseless, airy, blurring, with a hyper-real finish.”
Atelier T1 Concealer

Described as a medium tan, with warm undertones, T1 is the perfect brightening shade for me. I have yellow undertones, and warm concealers, as well as some neutrals, are perfect for me. T1 is light enough to brighten, but not too far a departure from my skin tone where it begins to look unnatural. I’ve even worn it without the darker T2, and the shade still worked really well. With all Westman Atelier products, it does give me a beautifully, natural, finish.
Atelier T2
T2 is described as a, “medium tan, golden undertone.” This is my perfect concealing shade. Three dots, across my eye, is more than enough to comfortably cover my under eye area. I do like to blend it out with my finger, for the most natural finish. I may, or may not, reinforce with a brush. Now, I have experienced very light creasing if I apply too much product. Unfortunately for me, I have one disrespectful, increasingly deep, line under each of my eyes. However, less is more, when it comes to me keeping the creasing at bay. So, I’ve easily adjusted.
I do also experience the blurring the brand spoke about. There is a nice smoothing/blurring of the area the concealer is applied to. T2 is also the shade I use to spot conceal, it works seamlessly, and quickly to get my hormonal acne spots covered!
Hero Ingredients
Westman Atelier is a clean beauty brand, so we can always count on some loving ingredients in their formulas. These Vital Skincare Concealers are no exception. Here are just a few heroes in this formula.
- Peptides that support natural collagen & softens fine lines (like the 2 disrespectful ones under my eyes)
- Mini Hyaluronic Acid that hydrates, firms and smooths
- Licorice Root evens tone and brigthen dark circles, spots and hyperpigmentation
- Gentian Root depuffs, firms eye contour and also brightens dark circles.
The packaging is as chic as ever, and another home rum for the brand. I’ve come to expect the most luxurious packaging from them, and they never disappoint. They’ve taken the packaging of their Squeaky Clean Lip Balms, and gave them a white coat, and gold detailing, for these concealers. The doe foot is perfection. It’s indented on both sides, and fits perfectly in the under eye area. You won’t need to dip your applicator back in the bottle for more product, just simply turn it to the other side, and apply from there. It’s the little details…
I have no doubt this is going to be a huge hit for the brand. It’s safe to say, these concealers were worth the wait!
