With a small, but beautiful, spring launch, Westman Atelier has just released two new Baby Cheeks Blush Sticks, in Garçonne and Coquette. I grabbed both, and I’ve got photos, swatches, and thoughts below!

Why Westman?
Why I love them is simple! It’s because in my mid 40s, they just fit my vibe perfectly. They’re a clean beauty brand, and there isn’t a single product that hasn’t worked for me. Everything goes on easily, the finished look is always sophisticated, and natural looking, on my maturing skin. I’m not a “loud” makeup wearer, I prefer subtly, and they deliver that every time.

Baby Cheeks Blush Sticks
Having the title of “favorite” also means I have quite a lot of their products. If it ain’t broke… Including the two new ones, I now have seven Baby Cheeks Blush sticks. Until now, my favorite has been Chouchette, because it’s so subtle on me. It’s perfect when I just want a little flush on my cheeks. When I want more color, I turn to the other shades. The stick packaging makes it so convenient. With my finger, my preferred way, or with a brush, I’m done applying blush in a matter of seconds. The brand’s Baby Blender brush is FANTASTIC, and perfect for the blush sticks. They’re easy to build up too!

Baby Cheeks Blush Stick Garçonne
The brand describes the new Garçonne shade as a, “just pinched mauve.” It seems they have as much fun coming up with colors for their products as I do with my brand, Breezy Tee. Lol. I’m going out on a limb and assuming the shade is named for what one’s cheek might look like right after it’s been pinched. That’s my guess, and I’m sticking to it!
Attention, guys, I think I have my new favorite blush shade! It’s a perfect mauve on me. In fact, I think they’re always flattering shades for brown skin tones, in general. I thought this one might be too dark for spring and summer, but it blends out to be a perfect year round shade. And with each Westman Atelier product, this gives me a subtle glow as well. This is an absolute winner!

Baby Cheeks Blush Stick Coquette
Coquette is described as a, “bright pinky peach.” I knew Garçonne would look beautiful on my skin tone, but I wasn’t as sure how Coquette would look. I knew it would show up, but would I get peachier hue I was after, or would I get more of the pink? As it turned out, I didn’t get the peachy side of this shade, what I got was a light, bright, pink shade.
Coquette will be a polarizing shade for brown skin, my complexion, or deeper. In my video, I built the shade up, a lot, but wearing it since them, I’ve toned it down to how I prefer to wear blush. On me, It is a light, brightening, wash of a pale pink. It’s also one you can layer on top of another shade. I also found keeping it above my cheekbones, and not the fuller area of where I apply blush typically, is the most flattering look for me.

There was a really nice gap, for these two new shades, in Westman Atelier’s Collection. You can also dab these shades on your lips, put them on your eyes, or even create a custom color with a couple of shades. You’ve got options! If you’re like me, and you want things as unfussy as they can be, the older you get, including your makeup, I can’t recommend these blushes, and this brand enough!
